Filmed before moving away from the Bay Area, Remember the Figs is a short experimental film about loving and leaving land and an exploration of the concept of home.

In 2022, after 14 years in the Bay Area, I decided to move to Minnesota for love. I was on the phone with my brother lamenting having to live without the fig tree in my backyard, when the idea to make a short film was born. I told my brother I didn't know how I was going to create the project and he replied, "I'm sure you'll fig-ure it out."
